Dear Friends,
Back
in 1977, we opened a little BBQ place near downtown Houston. With no restaurant
experience, and very little money, we began to transform this forty seat cafe
into what we had dreamed. By our way of thinking, what Texas BBQ ought to be.
From the beginning we promised ourselves to serve-up nothing but the best. The
quality had to be right. We went the extra mile, baking our own breads and
pies, making and smoking our own sausage, and perfecting our sauces and spices.
Well, folks seemed to like what we did, so we applied that same philosophy to
Mexican food and Gulf Coast seafood. After twenty years, our business has grown
to four restaurants. The promise to serve-up nothing but the best remains the
same.
We
wanted to continue in the Goode Co. tradition but we wanted to do something
different. We visualized a retail-direct mail business, that would pay tribute
to the cultures and cuisines that are the embodiment of Texas. We called it
Goode Co. BBQ Hall of Flame. Located right across the road from our original
restaurant, it's wall to ceiling with plenty of cookin' tools, fresh meats,
great gift ideas, and even classic western wear. Whether you're looking for
Goode Company's famous Brazos Bottom Pecan Pie, our signature sauces and
marinades, or Russell Harrington knives like we use in our kitchens, you'll
probably stumble across something else that reminds you of the great Texas
heritage that we share.
Just like
the restaurants, the Hall of Flame is constantly evolving. We've added more
items to our catalog this year. We sure hope you like it!
