For more than 30 years, the Goode’s have continued cooking their “made from scratch” authentic Texas cuisine, winning them national acclaim and consistently placing them at the top of “Best Of” lists in Houston. Since opening the original Goode Company Barbeque in 1977, Levi Goode and his father Jim have grown their brand to include seven restaurants showcasing genuine mesquite‐smoked barbeque, masterful mesquite grilled meats, and fresh Gulf Coast Texas seafood. In addition, a thriving mail order enterprise ships their famous Brazos Bottom pecan pies, meat rubs and sauces nationwide, while a saloon‐themed Armadillo Palace marries Texas comfort food with live country music.
A product of his legacy, Levi was brought up in the industry. From his early days of cracking pie pecans in their original barbeque location, to the years he spent working his way up through the ranks, he has been a part of every aspect of the family business.
Now, as the company’s head honcho of their seven Houston restaurants, Levi combines his vast knowledge of local and regional ingredients and techniques together with his skills as a formally trained chef and restaurateur to carry on the proud tradition that has made Goode Company a Texas icon.
